Patreon integration — Privacy Policy

1. What we process

Depending on your Patreon relationship and our technical setup, we may receive or store:

• Identifiers: Patreon user / member identifiers, campaign and tier identifiers where applicable.
• Contact: email address and display name associated with your Patreon account or membership, when Patreon or our integration exposes them to us.
• Membership status: information about your pledge or entitlement (for example whether you are an active patron, tier or entitled amount in cents, and related events).
• Licensing records: license keys, activation and session metadata, audit logs, and support correspondence tied to your account.

We do not use Patreon data for unrelated advertising profiles. Technical logs may include timestamps, IP addresses, and user agents where our servers record them for security and debugging.

2. Sources

Data comes from:

• Patreon — via official webhooks, API responses (for example campaign member lists), and the Patreon developer tools you authorize when you create or use a client.
• You — when you contact us (for example on Discord) or use our software and licensing endpoints.
• Our systems — generated when we issue keys, send email, or run automated sync and validation.

3. Purposes and legal bases (EEA / UK framing)

We use this data to:

• Verify eligibility and deliver and manage license keys for supporters (performance of a contract / steps prior to contract).
• Send operational email (for example key delivery) where applicable (contract / legitimate interests).
• Maintain entitlement state when membership changes (for example marking licenses inactive or legacy when appropriate) (contract / legitimate interests).
• Ensure security, fraud prevention, and abuse resistance for our licensing and APIs (legitimate interests / legal obligation where applicable).

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance them against your rights; you may object as described below where applicable law allows.

4. Recipients and processors

We use service providers where needed to run our services, for example:

• Hosting and infrastructure (servers that run our website, APIs, and databases).
• Email delivery (transactional messages such as key delivery).
• Patreon, Inc. — as the platform that originates membership data; their processing is governed by Patreon’s Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Transfers

Our providers or Patreon may process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as offered by our providers or as required by law.

6. Retention

We keep Patreon-related and licensing records only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, and dispute resolution requirements. Legacy or inactive licenses may be retained in a restricted form where we must prove past entitlements or prevent abuse.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
